當談及BDSM時，大多數人會想起美國知知名女歌手Rihanna的歌曲”S&M” 或者格雷的五十度陰影這套街知巷聞的情慾電影。當我們提起BDSM時，人們只會知道SM的大概意思就是打與被打，但其實BDSM PLAY是將名為TOP（攻）與 Bottom（受）的角色明確化的一種包含性的角色扮演。

When we talk about BDSM, most of us would probably think of the song of Rihanna or the scenes in the well-known erotic film Fifty Shades of Grey. BDSM is mistakenly perceived by most people as SM only, which is about physical pain (sadism & masochism). But in fact, BDSM Play is an inclusive role-playing that clarifies the role named Top and Bottom.

BDSM 是由六種不同的項目組成，分別是Bondage（捆綁） & Discipline （調教），Domination（支配）& Submission（臣服），Sadism（施虐）& Masochism（受虐）。  

在最廣為人知的S & M中，S是透過“在性方面支配M”以滿足控制慾望和施虐的性習慣,而M則是透過”在性方面被S支配” 以滿足受控的慾望和受虐待的性習慣*。  

*S除了被指為Sadism之外, 也有人說S = Slave; 同時M除了被指為masochism之外,也有人說M = Master 

BDSM is broken into three subcategories: Bondage/Discipline, Dominance/Submission, and Sadism/Masochism.  In the most well-known S & M aspect, S meets his/her desire to control and abuse through physical domination of M while M meets his/her desire to be sexually controlled and abused through physical domination by S.*

*S is not only referred to as Sadism, but also some people say S = Slave; while M is not only referred to as masochism, it is also said that M = Master
